The experience of hearing a song and being unable to remember the source of the song is common. The added value here is both obvious and seamless. Second, song recommendation: Shazam provides recommendations to users based on nearby popular songs and songs heard by users. Competitors such as Spotify or Apple music do not provide this feature. However, I had seen that KKBOX also provide the function of detecting music, so I think this feature will become more and more popular in the near future. Third, Playlist planning: Shazam selects songs according to users and adds them to their music library. Shazam creates playlists for users. Competitors like Spotify offers similar services. Fourth, Media purchases/ transactions: Through partnerships, Shazam utilizes the ability to pair transactions/marketing promotions with songs, TV shows that users are listening to. Take some TV commercials for example, they encourage viewers to watch Shazam advertisements for transactions or for more information. The service benefits both users and marketers. Lastly, Particularity of trends: When apps such as Spotify display national trends, Shazam allows users to view city trends in song selection.
