Except for Google, Facebook may be the only company that has such a large amount of full customer information. Facebook will get more and more information if more and more people use Facebook. Facebook uses different ways to find out users' behavior except analyzing user data.
1.    Tracking cookies: Facebook uses tracking cookies to track users on its network. If users log in to Facebook and browse other websites at the same time, Facebook can track the websites they are visiting.
2.    Facial recognition: One of Facebook’s latest investments is facial recognition and image processing. Facebook can share the image data which provided by users, and track its users through the Internet and other Facebook profiles.
3.    Tag suggestions: Facebook will recommend people who upload photos to tag others in their photos through image processing and facial recognition.
4.    Analyzing the Likes: From a recent study, we know that by analyzing users’ Facebook likes, it is possible to know a person's likes and dislikes.
Here are some examples of how Facebook uses big data.
1.    The Flashback: Facebook provides users to watch and share videos that they post from the day they register to the latest time.
2.    I Voted: "I have voted" is a label that is on the user profile, that Facebook connects politic and users.
3.    Celebrate Pride: Because of Supreme Court ruled that
same-sex marriage is a constitutional right, Facebook users can celebrate pride by changing their profile photo into a soaked rainbow.
4.    Topic Data: Topic data is a way that Facebook can display audience feedback about brands, events, events, and themes to marketers to keep people's personal information private. Marketers use the information to change their marketing methods on the platform and other channels.
Although Facebook has always claim to users that their information will not be shared without their permission and it will be anonymized to the marketers. Among Facebook users, privacy issues have always been the focus of attention, this is still a problem that Facebook needs to confront.
