In my life, the closest time to big data is when i am using social media. 
For example, when I’m using Instagram, the app can always know what i want to see. It’s because of my click through rate and this is really convenient to me. I don't need to search a product for several time and the website will also show the same products for me. It’s easier for me to compare the A product with B product.this also can help me to make the decision.
Big data allows marketers to identify social media trends and gain insights, which can be used to make engagement decisions like which users to communicate with, which group of users should receive marketing emails., etc. It also makes it easier to keep track of the demographics to decide which social media platform to target.
Businesses can easily understand the sentiments of the market through big data, enabling them to build winning strategies. Instead of relying solely on past performance to ascertain what improvements are required, big data aids in making informed decisions to better meet the future needs and expectations of consumers.
And it is useful in tracking the performance of social media campaigns and finding out the gradual changes in ROI. It also allows marketers to test their campaigns before launching it, analyze the results, make changes in the campaign as required, and retest it. Predictive analytical tools enable businesses to take decision regarding when to pause the campaign to avoid losses.

    Big Data is not only for our social network life, but also useful for our real life.
    For example, for shopping. Analyze one person’s shopping tendency, like groceries, and can get the result like this person spend most of money on this product. For example, for cooking. We can analyze which ingredient and some spice are going to match, or some local cuisine could match some other country’s vegetables.
    We need to use Big Data for more life help items.
