How could Taiwan
not defend by COVID-19 this year? Why Taiwan could just be the country which
used to be predicted for serious death numbers but finally reverse the
situation? This problem may cause some questions for a foreign countries. It could
be traced back to Feb, 5th after the large scale confirm numbers in
Diamond Princess, then 2700 of the passengers went through immigration into
Taiwan. Everyone just concerned about cluster spreading, so the government did a
quick reaction for follow-up study. They used big data tools to do the
following research, and printed out every passengers’ electric map, at the same
time, sent them individually messages and told them to be careful if they have a fever or sore throat symptoms. It would be hard if we used traditional tracing
method to take the specific group as the sample, kind of this investigation would
be wasteless. However, the Taiwanese knew how to use big data analytics,
intelligent follow technologies, and cell broadcast sign, finally collaborated
with health research registration files, it is more clever and effective ways
to defeat COVID-19.
Taiwanese
just came through the SARS pandemic in 2003, and completely understanding how
serious with such of the virus. COVID-19 could be the most challenging problem
for every country, what if people still live for themselves and care for their own
business, it must be counterattacked by nature one day. I want to say that I’m
really appreciated by the government and health care workers all over the world. You
all need to be respected for your selfless dedication. I hope everyone and
everything recovery soon.
