However, this is the first time I heard that big data can “revolutionize” the fashion industry. As I know big data can analyze structured and unstructured data. With big data analysis, fashion-designer can know what trend is right now and even predict the next coming trend. You may wonder how big data can generate the results. First, by tracking Google search, people type and ask google every day. Through the algorithm, big data can reject useless data to forecast more precise results. Second, designers can see how many potential customers are looking for pants or dresses. Most importantly, with big data analysis, businesses can make the decision more quickly.
Big data also can changes how business merchandise. Since online retailing is getting popular and popular, even the fashion industry noticed that. There are several companies like Burberry, Chanel, and Adidas which set some exhibitions and pop-up stores recently. One of the reasons is to attract more customers. Another reason is to raise the reputation. Big data can help the brands to create various webpages for customers.
