1. What were the data trends in the year 2019?

Operationalization of the big data became a common practice in 2019. Further, automation frameworks were introduced to operationalize the big data workflow. In 2019, the banking industry contributed to over 13% of the big data market revenue.
The traditional analytics was coupled with the concepts of machine learning and artificial intelligence. The machine learning and artificial intelligence garnered a lot of attention this year and looked like this trend is going to be in the air for quite some time.
The big data companies garnered a lot of attention and continued to grow exponentially. Only companies that can deliver a high-quality contribution stay in the data analytics market.

2. Why do we use the term big data?

The term big data is a literal one. It came into play in 2005, and the huge piles of data were named as big data. This was done as the data present for analysis was so huge that it seemed impossible to be able to perform analysis on so much data. That is where traditional data analysis methods failed, and new methods and interfaces were set up so that big data could be analyzed easily.

3. Why is it necessary to analyze the big data?

Data plays a huge role in a company’s decisions and deals. If a company does not have a report of its own data, the chances are that the company is going to fail itself. Big Data Analysis is important to analyze the trends that have been going on and to predict the upcoming ones, thereby taking a corresponding decision for the benefit of the company.

Big data is going to be around for a while, and here we have our predictions for the big data analytics trends 2020:
  • The computing devices will merge with data analytics. 
  • The automation of data analysis will become a normal scenario.
  • The era of in-memory computing will begin.
  •  Data, as a service, will be the new trendy business.
  • The use of augmented analytics will witness a steep rise.
  • Data governance will become a real issue and a thing on which companies will have to work.
Although actions are already taken by the organizations to monitor the way data is used and processed, yet it is likely that this issue will increase by folds. Companies will have to focus on governing the data that they are processing.

Along with this, we can almost say it with surety that big data is going to be a huge trend in the near future and all the organizations will be using the concept of big data in one or other way.
