5 Things You Should Know About Data Mining

            Sometimes, the advertisement that pops up in our feed is what we are interested in. That is because the company mines customer’s data. So the company knows what customer is wanting right now.

            Data Mining can be very useful in many field such as in the crime scenes. Los Angeles police use this to see and understand the patterns of crimes. Knowing and can predict within five hundred feet could save people’s lives. For sales, many of big stores use data mining to decide where to put the products, getting the customer’s insight. And for disease prediction, this is very good for doctor and patience. It can help to cure and know about the diseases more quickly and more accurately. Not all of the data is used by the company. It has the research that 88% of data didn’t be used by big data companies. And now data industry is a trend. It has many finding jobs website for this field and still lack of people.


            Collecting information and analyzing makes many beneficial things to the society. It can be very useful to many fields and can improve the business world and others to be better.

    Therefore, it is the truth that data mining help with sales. The tool of data mining is very smart. They always try to know what we will buy. After they know the answer, they are finding which products are often bought together can give insight into where to put products in a store. This practice has increased sales in both items immensely just because people tend to purchase items. So, being a smart customer we need to be mind about it.

    The data mining industry is making better to better. The data is trying to use these data to improve the world in different areas and places. Such as business, society, science, healthcare, sport, and our daily life, etc. The entire internet is constantly growing and the data mining is growing right along with it. However, this growing and all of that information take a lot of people to shift through and there are not enough people in the data mining industry.

    There is a shortage of 140,000 people with deep analytical skills. So, I think it is a good opportunity for us to learn more about what is big data and learn to use the analysis tool in our future career. I believe it will be our advantage when compared to others.
