Will big data create a new untouchable business elite?

How will a company be on top of others? We may say that the ones who have the best technology, employees, business knowledge will. However, after reading this article, I feel that big data will be the key to a new leading business elite. To put it simply, if we know about every data, we would be capable of managing any future problems that may occur in a calm manner. This is because we can already anticipate the possible threat and opportunities.
No matter who it is, the first one that can get information and data will be able to enhance and innovate at the speed of light. This will make them in a position higher than their rivals because if they have more data, they will have better algorithms, a better understanding of their customers, and eventually provides better service. For example, a company that has more data on the way people walk can innovate a car that can open without a key and even lamps that will automatically turn on when the owner is near.
In the past, oil used to be the most impactful item, well now it is replaced with big data. Companies in Silicon Valley is harvesting data from all of us all the time by monitoring our interaction with our services. For instance, companies testing self-driving vehicles in Silicon Valley are currently collecting vast amounts of data on the way we drive so that they can develop the best AI. Once they do that, they will be able to monitor their own vehicles as they drive through our cities, and once they have that it is hard to see how any competitor will be able to catch them because nobody else will know anywhere near as much about driving.
