Why Millenials Are the Most Data-Driven Generation

This articles speaks about why millennials, compared to other generations, are the most data-driven generation.
The generation of millennials use a great amount of data every day. Being the first generation to have unlimited access to information, and often use the internet, Millennials are used to providing their information to companies. Some Facebook users get asked to complete surveys to help the social media site with advertising. The article claims that millennials are most likely to give away information about themselves. Because millennials grew up on apps like Twitter, you find that they give real time updates about their feelings and are comfortable doing so. This group has understood that, although they give out information about themselves, they also gain information about others in return. Although websites such as Facebook and YouTube contain a lot of information about them, millennials also gain a whole lot of information from using these websites.

Millennials know how to use data to their advantage when making purchases and this personal skill makes them more valuable in companies, as employees. In a survey, fifty-seven percent (57%) of millennials said that they make comparisons when shopping. Thus, brand loyalty is not so big with this generation.

Apart from being technology savvy, millennials have found a way to keep the traditional things, thus keeping peace. Millennials deal with so many different types of data and so much of it, that they are expected to disrupt the economy. Their share of the workforce is expected to rise by 42% by 2020.
