The information can be related to the market, the customers, the target audience, competitors, or even the business’s old plan and their returns.

Big data plays an important role in sales and marketing, whether it is a big sized multinational corporation or a start-up company. Technologies can help businesses to gain an extra advantage over their competitors. Even though it is going to be the most expenses but this is worth investing. When developing a campaign, it is critical that every marketing expertise to first understand a number of variables, like the target audience and your opponents’ strategies.

    I think this blog has really good points. I think the way a company do marketing is really crucial to the success of selling its products. How the public view and feel about the company will determine the company’s success. By applying big data on the marketing, big data can help gathering, analysing and working on huge amounts of digital information to enhance business operations. These digital information are related to the market, the consumers , the target audience, competitors or even the business’s old plan and their returns. By having these information, a company will know what the consumers want and need, also they will have a picture on how their competitors will do against them and be a step better than them.
    It is really important for a company to know their customer, for companies to analyse their customer behaviour and engaging with their customer to understand the customer’s view and how they interact with a company’s product or service. These are the main key of marketing efforts because a company lives from its customers. Big data analytics offers the business intelligence to gather the data by using cloud computing. This is likely to improve the existing products or even increasing revenue per customer
    Of course most companies now have realise about the importance of big data on their marketing. But perhaps many are still struggling to applying it correctly and successfully. This blog really help to open their minds and guide them to do marketing to maximise the company’s benefits.

  2. i found this blog to be very interesting. i never thought that big data has anything to do with marketing. it's like two ends of the spectrum. Obviously, marketing is a way to attract more customers and gaining a larger market share. i always associated marketing with a creative process like making a creative campaign, an interesting commercial, or photoshoots for magazines. i always had the perception that the most different and interesting campaign or commercial will attract the most customers but it turns out there are something way bigger behind it. it makes sense to incorporate big data with marketing in this day and age. Big data gives you the insight on customer needs, other competitors, and also past marketing projects. from these information, you can predict how the new product is going to sell and what is the best way to advertise the new product. the information you get from those data gives the marketing team a picture or a direction on how they should do their marketing campaign. Big data is used in other departments as well so why not incorporate it with marketing too. in a world where businesses are being more and more competitive using big data can help you gain an edge on your competitors. by using big data, you will be able to understand a number of variables, like the target audience and your opponents’ strategies. overall, this is a very interesting and eyeopening blog that changes my perception on marketing campaigns and commercials. a very good job!
