As we all known, owing to weather is easily changeable as well as plenty of data set and sophisticated weather pattern, it’s hard to make accurate prediction in advance.
The author in the article claims that in the recent years many industries have built a prediction model called WDT. This technology offers mapping services and weather prediction.

In addition, the weather companies build a cloud data base so that everyone can share the weather information online. This purpose is to cumulate all the related to make a mathematic model. Thus, as they collect many data from past to presence as well as using big data technology, they can predict weather more accurately than in the past.

I reckon that the purpose of weather prediction has to access to the public. In this way, people can in advance to prepare for the uncertain weathers coming like storm or heavy rain. The article take oil and gas company as an example, those firms want to know how big weather may affect their workers in two places. By using big data, they find that humidity and the temperature affect workers activities. Thus, they improve their working schedule and efficiency. 

Although weather is uncertainty, we can still use data which we collected in the past and created a model to help us estimate the weather.
According to the result above, we can see the application of big data plays a vital role in our society. It helps us to make smarter decisions which we thought impossible in the past.

    Mentioned to changeable weather, I think everyone has the experience of forget to bring the umbrella or apply sunscreen that led to physically uncomfortable, and I'm no exception.

    To solve this annoying problems, the companies started using WDT and share the weather information online is a method to create different data base. As we know, we can only roughly predict what weather will be like in future like tomorrow or this week. Through the action mentioned above, they can predict the weather more accurately, it set off the importance of data analytic at this moment.

    In the article, I realized that many industries can be affect by weather deeply, by using data, there schedule can be more flexible and efficiency due to precise prediction. There is no deny that big data create a win-win situation to workers and public.
