Here is the main point that of the article. According to the article, "Like every other technology, the possibilities of Big data are both fascinating and scary. It’s upon us to demarcate what’s desired, what is acceptable, and what is harmful. Big data is a boon for weather and disaster predictions, in non-tech oriented sectors like agriculture and manufacturing for improving productivity, to discover the potential of kids in early years helping identify career paths & prospects, to design cities with data aided urban planning, and even for crime predictions and security."
This topic talks about the advantages and disadvantages of big data. In my opinion, the biggest problem with big data is privacy. Everything starts to go online, our life, and our actions sometimes get recorded. We should be smart on using these tools that do make a better life but might cause danger to us.

ReplyDeleteI agree with your opinion. We must use our online tool resiponsibly by each person. I guess almost young people using SNS such as instagram, Facebook and Twitter to share their life, but it is not safe as they think. Even you delete your post or history, there are still remain data in the browser. One time you posted on internet, it will mean share your private to all the world. I suggest that goverment should be educating about information literacy for young people. Teaching how internet is dangerous and how it affects your life. It will be a more big problem in these years. If you use the Internet with insufficient Internet literacy, you will be damaged by inappropriate disclosure of privacy, leakage of personal information, infringement of copyright and portrait right, sending spam mail due to computer virus infection, etc. Not only that, there is a possibility of becoming a perpetrator without knowing it. In addition, they may escalate into behaviors that are against morals, such as impersonation due to unauthorized access and participation in cybercrime, and illegal activities.
