Artificial intelligence (AI) can do is help turn large and diverse data sets into enriched information that can be used to improve the entire supply chain, from design and manufacturing to sales, marketing and customer service. With Big Data they also can provide a customer needs and can find a loyal client. Online interactions, like picking clothes from a screen, no longer feel impersonal. AI and Big Data have allowed the customers in e-commerce sites, to become highly personal experiences.

Big Data also improves on how people deciding this is a fake or real goods.( I written an article about Burberry for big data, it’s show how they remove fake products.) With the big data system we can separate which one is real or not. With this system lot of people will feel safe when buying goods online.

The fashion industry, like many other industries, has been facing the possibility that machine learning and artificial intelligence will replace human designers. Its mean that in the future Human is no longer needed for designing clothes.
Big data also help the company to predicting the trends like what will be booming in the future. This thing is impossible without Big Data. For example, many millennials are using Instagram, Twitter as there social media. The fashion company can take advantages from here such as know what the millennials are searching for, what fashion is on demand and many other else. They also can make a targeted marketing by dividing their model and price as well. The fashion industry can make the class from low, middle , until high.

Actually, I often use SNS media to search the fashion trend and the information about fashion brand. Putting it the other way, fashion industry will recognize what we need, what is the demand for young people, through our search histories.

  2. i think this article is good and educational because as we can see now in this modern era, we all use online shopping because it is way more easier. we don't have to go to the store and just can see from the web and buy the things. before buy the things, we usually see first if the things that we want to buy is good or it is real because now a days many online shop sell the fake one and they sell it really cheap. so, if i can see from the article that big data can seperate the fake and the real that one can really helpful for us to shop. in this era, people use technology. they use technology for everything. for example for read news, shop, looking for information even for studying. we all need technology in our life. it is way more easier if we use big data to predict the trends that will booming in the future. the company will thankful if they can do this big data analysis and developing the company. but beside that, we cannot only depending on the big data analysis. we have to use human too. because the data can be wrong and we need human brain to make it better. so the summary is big data is good for the fashion era.

As we know, technology is important for our daily life, big data help us customer for deciding which is a real goods or fake goods. Its helpful in both way, helping the industries to make more profit and helping us to buy the right goods at the right time. This article is very help full and very interesting to read

  4. Great sharing about how big data being use on fashion industry. As my research big data does supports companies on predict their customers or increase their business, I found out that how strong is the big data and indeed useful for our human life. Traditional fashion houses and brands have important data, such as inventory details and sales records – strictly kept internally. The love for ambiguity means that industry insiders do this in a well-known silo, resulting in many colors, styles, fit and other design indicators becoming scattered and structured data. Most importantly, the industry does not have key challenges such as competitive analysis, insight, trends, prices, and other important details. Like many other industries, the fashion industry also faces the possibility that machine learning and artificial intelligence will replace human designers. Although skilled AI robots have not replaced Giorgio Armani, technologies like IBM's Cognitive Prints are helping designers come up with new ideas. If designers want to compare new design ideas with anything they might have thought of or produced, Cognitive Prints (a set of AI tools) will save a lot of image data to find similarities. Whether a designer wants to imitate the style of a particular era or create something new and never done, big data is at its core. For those who wait for robots to start working in fashion design, Cognitive Prints can design patterns by themselves.

  6. Big data is like a mirror, which truly reflects what people like and dislike. The opportunities for the development of the industry are already obvious. At this time, some brand's own competitiveness and value will become the primary conditions for investment. Consumer demand has always been the first priority for the development of the industry. Regular market analysis and research will become necessary. Fashion companies with innovations not only rely on traditional market data, but intelligent big data is used for analyse. The development of design and retail inventory rely on the big data information. Some companies work with big data to satisfy consumer demand and creating higher demand, and use big data to consolidate the brand's continuous competitiveness. Big data is a sense of technology and a sense of the future, yet it has already into people's daily life.
