An Architecture for Secure COVID-19 Contact Tracing

            Since the Pandemic of COVID-19, many countries around the world obligated their people to self distancing and for others who had been from overseas or travel need to do self-isolation in order to stop the virus from spreading. An article in Science Magazine suggests an App that can be installed on mobile phones to alert people when they come into contact with someone who was pre-symptomatic so that they will do self-isolation. This system will help to speed up the duration of social distancing restriction. This kind of solution have been applied in Singapore with their app Trace Together and also some other countries who develop their own application. 
            In order to operate this technology at a population-scale, thorough architecture design would be entailed to guarantee the Consistency, Integrity and Availability of the solution also to make sure that the data is not vulnerable to unauthorized access because this kind of App will need to collect people’s data and privacy.
            Public Health use cases might include observing of regional rates of transmission in response to policy interventions. Vital to the success of such a project is suitable control that meet the requirements of pre-existing regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS. Some cloud service platforms such as Cloudera Altus or Navigator or Data Catalogue can guarantee  that administrators and regulators understand where the relevant data is located, how the data is interpreted for use, how the data may have been generated or changed in any way, how the data access is safe and protected and auditing. who has access to the data and the way it was used.

    This topic is a really great choice, and useful too for many people. Who though technology can adapt this fast in this situation. Because as we all know, our world faces with many problem, and COVID-19 is one of the biggest case right now. Even, after self distancing and for others who had been from overseas or travel done self-isolation, people still don’t have a clear data to know who is pre-symptomatic nearby them. With this app, it really useful, especially people who not careful and still think this virus not do much damage for them. After I read it, I know maybe there is some privacy issues because they need to collect people’s data and privacy. But, I believe there is nothing can go wrong with giving our data because they already make sure that the data is not vulnerable to unauthorized access because they know how important this is, to collect people’s data and privacy. I really hope this kind of app can be used to in developed country. Like in my home country, many people still don’t know how serious this virus can be and stubborn about this condition. Because they need proof about the virus and don’t know how to be careful. With this app, maybe can help them a little bit, since they need to know people around them who got infected, maybe they can be more careful than before. So, thank you for this information, I hope we can get through this situation.

    Covid-19 outbreak is already around the world and it is really bad in some country, governments doing their best for protect the people and also to stop the chain of this virus. And in this situation, people are recommend to do self-quarantine until the situation is okay because one thing that I know if we just doing activities like usual, the number of Covid-19 cases will rise up, so, people need to stay at home at this kind of situation. We also recommend to do social-distancing if we are outside. I think that app is really useful because sometimes people didn’t care about social-distancing and they thought they are okay. But the fact is, number of teenagers death because of Covid-19 is really small but they can spread the virus into the old people even they didn’t get the symptoms. That app can warn people if they’re not do the social distancing, but even though there’s app like that to warn people but I think it is useful if the people have awareness of the government regulations about Covid-19. About the data privacy, I think it is already secure because the company of app is already prepare for the data security. And also for the people who use the app, I think they’re already know about the regulations and there’s also agreements before they use the app. So, I think it is totally fine, and the company also before launch the app, they have already made the system strong, so, the data cannot be stealed.
