Education sector has always been a crucial sector. While in reality, a wealthy economy needs a competent workforce with various skills and knowledge to build a beneficial business. However, education is one of the sectors that are slow to adapt and adjust to the development of technology. With the distribution of technology in more schools and with encouragement for more transparent information from the government, it will give a tremendous chance for better data collection and research in education.

Big data and personalization tend to stick together and we can use these 2 things to boost effectiveness in the learning process. By creating custom learning pathways for each student where they can personalize their own schedule will enhance the relationship between teachers and students.

In this digital era, internet-based learning is likely more convenient. By performing all the data digitally, it will help the educator to monitor data points like estimated time students take to answer each question and approximately how many times they go back to view particular questions in a test. Then, those data points will easily explain where are students weak part. By doing this, educator can instruct the course more accurately and help student's performance.

3. Increases student participation
Some surveys stated that certain individuals are losing interest in undertaking formal education because it won’t guarantee they will have a better future. With the existence of big data and ability to personalize courses, students who can’t access education easily can start to join distance-learning courses also attain education in specific fields.
