    In this article, there are 10 statistics about big data. These facts prove Big data's importance in nowadays business environment. There are three facts I think it is quite interesting, that is number 2 and number 6 and number 10.  


"According to McKinsey, a retailer using Big Data to its fullest potential could increase its operating margin by more than 60%.".
    
    Wow! Amazingly, big data has the power to increase sales profits. The most surprised me is that the operating margin can be increased by 60%. It is really a large number for the retailers. Because of this reason, many retailers would be willing to hire workers to analysis the big data information in order to grow the profit margin higher and higher.

 "Data production will be 44 times greater in 2020 than it was in 2009. Individuals create more than 70% of the digital universe. But enterprises are responsible for storing and managing 80% of it."

   11 years can make many things changed. Data production is one of those. Nowadays, electric technology makes data easy to store and manage thus the production in 2020 is much more greater than in the past. We have advanced computer and software technology to handle difficult data production and data analysis process. It greatly improved the efficiency of managing big data information.

 
"There will be a shortage of talent necessary for organizations to take advantage of Big Data. By 2018, the United States alone could face a shortage of 140,000 to 190,000 skilled workers with deep analytical skills as well as 1.5 million managers and analysts with the know-how to use Big Data analytics to make effective decisions."
  
  This fact shows that skilled workers with deep analytical skills lacked in the employment market. As big data analysis become more and more useful and important, the market, included marketing, production, and also dining industry really needs workers who have analytical skills to help the company more success to manage.
  
  The above facts all show the importance of big data in nowadays business environment. Big Data not only increase your efficiency, it can also help cut your cost and increase sales
