How Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Can Help Against COVID-19



In 21st century, when it comes to new technology trends, it makes us think of the convenient life that leads to the future which we may experience. Autonomous cars, digital twins, artificial intelligence, big data, internet of things and so on. In this emergency period, COVID-19 has influenced throughout our daily lives globally.

As it mentioned inside the article, we need to use modern tools to deal with the threats that occurred now. Big data and artificial intelligence are those we already knew. These two technological tools have played a vital role in various field including medical sources especially COVID-19.

Unlike in the past, we can access the data more efficiently by applying big data. The research of genomic for COVID-19 helps the researchers understand the new virus's inner information, for example, the structure and genetic order. Vaccine development for the virus was also conducted under these tools. Tracking how the virus spread by using the real-time system, South Korea, China and Singapore had used the tracking tool which is based on big data, helps them better understand the virus and slow down the spread of the horrible diseases in order to have more time on taking care of the patients who were certainly infected COVID-19.

The good news is that the infection rate in China has slowed down. With the support of big data and artificial intelligence, it also involves personal privacy issues that are related to the ethical dilemma. That is to say in the future, the human might balance between innovations and ethical rights.
