As everyone knows that Google is the most popular online data source, however, there are a lot of websites which can offer you valuable data. Therefore, this blog provides various data sources which categorized into four main types; (1) general data, (2) government data, (3) Google, and (4) market data.

For general data, the blog recommends to use data from World Health Organization which focuses on global health and diseases. Furthermore, the blog suggests to utilize Figshare and GitHub for sharing research results and data sets to other people. In addition, Amazon Web Service is a cloud-based data platform which suitable for discovering more science-related data.

Additionally, here are the list of government data source: Data.gov, US Census Bureau, Open Data Network, European Union Open Data Portal, Canada Open Data, Open Government Data, The CIA World Factbook, Gov.uk, Health Data.gov, UNICEF, and National Climatic Data Center. These websites provide useful data regarding government, economy, demographics, environment, health, etc.

For Google, the blog recommends to utilize Google Public Data for searching economics-related data. Also, it suggests to use Google Trends for exploring on statistics of search volume. Besides, it encourages to use Google Finance which updates stock market in real time.

For market data, it divided into four groups which are e-commerce platform, real estate, travel, and recruiting (workplace). Amazon, Ebay, Yelp, and Yellowpages are well-known e-commerce websites. For example, Yelp is famous in terms of restaurants and Yellowpages is a leading business information source. For real estate data sources, Real Estate, Zillow, and Realtor are websites which provide houses on sales or for rent information. Besides, TripAdvisor is considered a travel platform for customers to review hotels around the world. Lastly, for recruiting platform, Glassdoor and Linkedin are websites for finding jobs. Indeed and Payscale are websites for jobs statistics.

To conclude, this blog comes up with a variety of online data sources which is useful for learning and suitable for everyone.
